Where do you come from and how long have the band existed?
TFPants is born in the early 2003. We're from Cholet (49) FR
How do you define your style of music?
Our music is a kind of psychobilly, because of our RNR style, doublebass, haircut and all the stuffs.
But there is also some kind of punk hint and hillbilly.
Lyrics are about Sex and alcohol. So maybe we can self-defined as Porn 'n' roll or Sex a billy or Obscene Psychobilly
(this one is the best for me)... well as you want!
What is the reason for this name?
Our name is from an old movie starring Johnny Depp, that is titled Cry baby.
His gang name is originally The Drapes but in the french version, it's Les frocs moulants,
that you can basically translate by Tight fitting Pants. That's also a private joke.
What are your musical influences and what bands do you like?
We're influenced by new school of psychobilly, with bands as Barnyard Ballers, GWC ...
Punk rock is a great part of our influence too. We are used to listen various things... from early RNR, to old and new school psychobilly and punk stuffs.
Of what do you inspire to write your song?
Sex, booze and RNR is our anthem... in fact many songs are written after heartbreaks (;_;)
Where and with what bands would you like to play?
We'd like to play in Europe. Germany, netherland, belgium are what we are looking for. US and Japan would be a dream.
Do you have other passions apart from music?
Not really.
Do you have rituals before going to stage?
Not really... just try to drink enough beer to put the stress away
A good or bad memory of your tours?
All gigs are good memories. Every show has its own story. Anyway it's pretty good to play in front of an audience.
