Where do you come from and how long have the band existed?
First of all, the band is composed of Gérald (guitar+vocals), David (slapbass) and Beber (drums).
We have started in january 2003, and we all come from the same part of Vendée (France) near Montaigu.
How define your style of music?
Our style is rather melodic and energetic, with varied rythms. We make a psychobilly in the line of descent bands like Nekro, Mad Sin, Tiger Army ...
What's the reason for this name "6 Feet Down"?
In our beginning, we had taken the name of ‘6 Feet Under’, because we are 3 so 6 feet.
Besides, to be in the trip of the psycho, we like this macabre name.
But we had realized that this one was already taken, so we’ve modified ‘6 Feet Under’ by ‘6
Feet Down’ which mean the same thing and so little modified the old name under which we were already known.
What are your musical influences and what bands do you like?
Our influences are various. First of all, the Psychobilly like Nekromantix, Godless, Tiger Army, Mad sin.
But to compose, we think that listen others styles is necessary.
It’s the reason for which we listen some american punk with bands like Millencolin, Green Day, Rancid ;
and hard rock like Metallica …
Of what inspire you to write your song?
« Gérald » : For the music I research the melody which attract, that one keeps, that marks. For the texts, I draw one’s inspiration from lived facts, love, death, sexe and violence.
But especially not of politic or socials problems, cause we are fed up of hearing to speak of it.
Where and with what bands would you like to play?
Everywhere. But we would like to show off especially on big stages of psychobilly, to make abroad dates, some tours with the big bands of the moment.
But not only, we would like to play also with bands others that psycho to make others discover our style.
Have you other passions apart from music?
We have all of the such different hobbies like sport, dance, the 50's, the motorcycle and of others. But our real passion remains above all music.
Have you got rituals before going to stage?
We don't especially have any rituals, but one tried to motivate themselves, to get in conditions before attacking a concert.
A good or bad memory of your tours?
For the bad it’s the concert of Halloween in 2005 in Nantes (France),
we stopped at the end of 20 min because of a guy who fell on the slapbass and made jump all ropes.
And for the best it is certainly the 'after' in Chauché (France) in February 2005, a drinking binge noteworthy.
Your projects?
We want to achieve a recordind quickly to make more concerts, and thereafter to record an album.
